Prio Bangla Inc.

Prio Bangla Inc. is a Virginia-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit social and cultural organization. Our mission is to spread Bengali language, culture, heritage, and festivals among the next generation of Bangladeshi-Americans across North America — especially the Washington DC metropolitan and Virginia area — and to present Bangladesh positively to the world.

Our most successful and beloved annual tradition is Pothomela — a multicultural street festival held in Arlington County, Virginia. Streets are closed by official permit; thousands gather to enjoy Bangladeshi and South Asian cuisine, clothing, jewelry, and folk artistry across dozens of stalls.
